Clark High School Orchestra
The Clark High School Orchestra is part of the Plano Senior High School feeder system in Plano ISD. Its' middle school feeders include Carpenter Middle School, Hendrick Middle School, and Schimelpfenig Middle School. The Clark Orchestra is proud to be part of such a strongly supported fine arts community and has a rich tradition of excellence in music performance.
Currently there are four orchestras meeting the needs of Clark's many talented musicians. Students are placed in to one of the four orchestras via audition on a yearly basis. The Clark Orchestras have a consistently strong history at UIL competitions with most of the ensembles receiving straight I Superior ratings each year.
The success of the CHS orchestra program centers on the pursuit of excellence, commitment to learning, and the willingness to work hard to achieve a common goal. Support from private teachers, the school and district administration, and most of all our amazing parents and community are also vital to the success of the program.
Clark High School Orchestra Booster Club
The Clark High School Orchestra Booster Club is the organization that supports our orchestra students and includes ALL parents. It allows the orchestra directors to focus on developing the talent of our students by coordinating activities for the orchestra and by providing additional resources where necessary. We work closely with the orchestra directors, who are also members of the Booster Club Board, to assist them in whatever way possible.
In this day of cut backs and fund decreases, it is essential that we supplement the limited funds that are allocated to the orchestra budget in order to enhance the educational experience of our students. The best thing you can do is become active in the Boosters. That doesn’t mean you have to volunteer for everything, but your participation is encouraged and appreciated. It takes an army of volunteers to make things run smoothly for the orchestra and although they won’t admit it, your kids actually like having their parents involved in some orchestra activities!
